Pokemon Cafe (Ruby & Sapphire) Parco Centre, Shibuya Tokyo
Face is rice, ears are omelette, the black bits are seaweed
and the red sauce had a curry taste to it ʕु•̫͡•ʔु
This dish cost about 1,500 Yen which is about £8.00 ฅʕ•̫͡•ʔฅ
I think the Pikachu Cafe was right up there as one of my favourite things to do in Tokyo. Themed cafe's are big business over there, people are prepared to queue for a good hour or two to get into one. But when the food and staff are spot on and everything is so cute its impossible to be bothered by the wait. ʕ•̫͡•ʕ•̫͡•ʔ•̫͡•ʔ

This was a temporary pop up in the Shibuya 'Parco' shopping centre on the top floor. When we got there they had a ticket queue system set up that allowed us to come back about 5hrs later to do a short queue for a table. 5hrs? No problem. ✌.ʕʘ‿ʘʔ.✌
You would think with the focus being on making the food look like Pikachu that it might not be all that when it comes to eating it, but it was really nice! They also give you a free Pokeball mug with certain food orders ʕ•̫͡•ʔ

I really liked the staff here, they allow you to dress up in Pikachu hoods and headbands to have a picture taken before you sit down. They take the picture on your own camera/phone and don't charge you for this service, that gets a big thumbs up from me. Food came out quick and you have about an hour to enjoy the cafe surroundings so you don't feel rushed out the door. ʕ•̫͡•ʔ❤ʕ•̫͡•ʔ
Over on the next table a Pokeball was served...
There is also a little gift shop full of Pikachu bits, I got myself a cheap tote bag and a little cleaning cloth for my glasses. ᶘ ͡°ᴥ͡°ᶅ
Dining alone? No problem (´・(ェ)・`)
I think this particular Pokemon theme cafe is due to close in February 2015 but there is definitely demand for a more permanent one. Time to start a change.org petition!
(On their site it looks like they might have extended their opening till March 15th)

There have been other Pokemon cafe's in the past so have a little Google before you go and see whats open. It's great value for money, I think in the UK it wouldn't have had the same vibe or prices.
Love u Pikachu Cafe x
